The Department of Public Works appointed Cadre Plan to undertake site clearance for a new magistrate's office in Macquassie Hills, North West. Erven 542, 544 and 546 in Macquassie Township, bordering the SAPS station in Ward 9, were identified and required consolidation. The erven are zoned "Institutional/Government" under the Macquassie Hills Land Use Scheme, 2017.
Cadre Plan coordinated the civil engineering, electrical engineering, land surveying and geotechnical studies required for clearance. The vacant, flat site (a gradient difference of only 0.75 m) carries no flood-line constraints and minimal impact on surrounding land uses. The development gives residents a locally based court, removing the need to use the police station or travel to Wolmaranstad.
