Prof. Dr Emil Nothnagel has a burning desire to constantly engage in developmental pursuits to innovate, renew and advance the economic development of communities in Africa. Through his academic studies and consulting career, he has engaged passionately with local governance structures where he shares knowledge and utilises his facilitation skills to activate integral communities.

From 2005 to 2011, Emil worked as a managing director at LED Consortium, where he successfully built and managed a diverse group of employees and professional associates. He establishes and nurtures trust with teams, customers, external suppliers, and stakeholders in the public sector, the private sector and civil society. He is currently the managing director at Milan Consulting, where he manages resources and provides strategic advice. He also engages in research and implements new initiatives to drive revenue, and lower operating costs while maintaining competitive quality products, all while delivering excellent customer support. Simultaneously, Dr Emil is a part-time lecturer at the University of Pretoria and the University of South Africa and completed his PhD in Integral Development.
